Mission Statement
Cathedral Arts Workshop is a multidimensional educational program consisting of Fine Arts, Applied Arts and Creative Writing, taught within the beautiful and historic Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist. Our mission at CAW is to foster explorations into the intersections of art making, writing and spiritual development, to see the world around us, “with the eyes of our hearts enlightened.” (Ephesians 1:17) We believe the studio should be a supportive, and grace-filled environment that encourages students and teachers to bring their whole humanity to participate. Cathedral Arts Workshop invites your whole being – Body, Mind and Soul – into the process of making and creating. Our core philosophy at CAW is that the act of creation is essential to the health, vitality and spirit of the individual, of our community and to the larger Human Spirit.
