We offer a variety of ministries and programs including Sunday School, Junior Choir, fellowship, and opportunities to serve in worship and in the community. All volunteers who work with children and youth undergo training that covers appropriate boundaries and policies, including CPR training and Safeguarding God's Children, to ensure that St. John's Cathedral is a truly safe and sacred place.
We proudly provide a comfortable (though not sound-proof!) child-friendly area within our worship space. Children of all ages are welcome to participate in worship.
The Kids' Place: Nursery and Child Care
Our “Kids’ Place” nursery for infants, toddlers and younger children is located on the south side of Jewett House, ground floor. We provide a Christ-centered program during worship services and other events. Qualified caregivers provide a safe, warm and loving environment for young children.
During the program year, the nursery is staffed from 9am until noon, allowing parents to participate in the St. John's Forum, Cathedral Choir, and worship. During the summer, the nursery is staffed 10am-noon.
