Prayers for Haiti
The people of Haiti are in our hearts as they struggle with the aftermath of the recent terrible earthquake. The Cathedral has a partnership with St. Andre's Church in Cazale, Haiti. In May, Dean Ellis and Trish Newton visited Cazale. You can read their thoughts on the Partnership and their visit here.
The latest news from our partners is here.
Our Haiti Partnership has been featured in other Spokane media: The Fig Tree KREM News
Note: Congress passed legislation that allows taxpayers to deduct monetary donations to Haiti earthquake relief on their 2009 federal income tax returns instead of having to wait until next year. Any contributions made between January 12 and February 28 can count toward 2009 taxes. |
