A Ministry of Hospitality
This coffee cart is part of the Cathedral’s outreach ministry. Generally open on Sunday mornings, volunteer baristas make lattes, tea, and other specialty drinks, while providing warm hospitality and welcome.
St. John’s Java primarily uses organic, fair trade products, further living into our faith and commitment to care for all of creation.
In addition, St. John’s Java supports local and global non-profit ministries through our tip monies donations. A special thank you to our baristas for donating their time, and to our generous patrons. Each person who shares their birthdate with the office receives a free beverage to help celebrate their birthday. All our volunteers receive scholarship monies to help offset the cost of diocesan or wider church opportunities. This can help toward attending retreats, Camp Cross, conferences or other events.
We are here to welcome family, friends, newcomers, and seekers into our space. In doing so, we offer a warm or cold drink, information and recognition of presence.
